HIV/AIDS & Gender – Why Women matter! (December 2009)
The training aimed at equipping trainees with accurate knowledge and facts on ASRH and understanding of the Y2Y concept, enabling trainees to work with groups and group dynamics and develop skills of a good leader. The training equipped the trainees with knowledge and skills on how to make action plans, budget and report for their club activities. 60 club leaders were trained.
Peer educators training Youth –to- Youth (November 2009)
This training was designed to equip the 60 participants with knowledge and skills to disseminate ASRH information and facilitate Y2Y learning activities in their youth clubs and in their community. The trainings further enabled peer educators to understand the SRH and rights concerns of young people and behaviour change processes.
HIV/AIDS Peer Counselors – Refresher Trainings Civil Society Fund (September 2009)
42 young people (15-24 years) were trained to facilitate pre and post-test counseling sessions for HIV Counseling and Testing and PMCTC at health center facilities and youth clubs.

2010 Tailor made training courses
In 2010 DSW will again offer a wide range of tailor made training courses for youth groups, Civil Society Organisations, the public and private sector. The spectrum ranges from Adolescents Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Gender and Gender-based Violence Prevention and Response to Project Management and Team Development.
